Obtaining Lauderdale County Sex Offender Information 

For residents living in Lauderdale County, obtaining information on Sex offenders living within their vicinty is made possible through the provisions made by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, they make public most of the sex offender information in their registry except those having to deal with juveniles and out-of- state individuals.  The information uploaded on the sex offender sites are updated by the sex offender registry personnel with information provided by the sex offenders who are mandated to notify the local law enforcement of any changes in their residency or in their employment status. Members of the public may make their search on the portal using names, case numbers or images for a fee of $9.99 for each name and case numbers searched, to make the search using images, requesters will pay a fee of $5 for the first 29 pages and $0.50 for every other added page. Obtaining Lauderdale’s Vital Records

Vital records for Lauderdale county such as divorce records, marriage records, birth records and death records may be obtained through different procedures. Divorce records from 1950 till date may be obtained from the Vital Records Office of the Alabama Centre for Health Statistics for a fee of $15 for the certified copy and $6 for every additional copy. Marriage records from 1936 till date may also be obtained from the same office and at the same fee. Lauderdale birth records may also be obtained from the Alabama vital records office, they keep birth records from 1908 till date, these birth records are confidential and as such may not be accessed by the public for at least 125 years after the incident. Death records from 1908 are also available at the office and are restricted for at least 25 years.
